RealViz today announced the release of Stitcher 3.1 for OS X, a professional application for building high-resolution panoramas up to 360 x 180 degrees. The application offers automatic alignment, color blending and de-blurring and options for planar, cylindrical, cubical or spherical panoramas. It includes export routines for multi-row pictures in a full sphere to various formats including QuickTime, Java and Web 3D formats; planar output to standard image formats including TIFF, JPEG and PNG; and multi-resolution rendering for content re-use. The $500 application is available as a $200 upgrade (free to users of v3.0).
