Xcarét today introduced a redesigned version of its Xcarét Pro 99 expansion bay hard drives, for Bronze and FireWire PowerBooks. The new drives are more rugged, feature a power/activity LED, and are lighter and more compact. Prices range from $350 to $650, for the 10 GB and 30 GB models, respecitvely. A drive kit, which includes just the expansion bay and no drive, sells for $150.
