CharisMac demos Discribe 5.0 at Expo

Charismac Engineering will demo Discribe v5.0 in QPS Expo booth. Version 5 includes a host of new features, including DVD mastering support, full native OS X support, and improved Video CD support as well as interoperability with Apple’s Disc Burner and iTunes.

Discribe supports 250 CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW mechanisms and supports the creation of CDs in most all popular formats including: CD Extra, Hybrid, ISO-9660 and both track-at-once and disc-at-once audio; it supports ATAPI, SCSI, FireWire and USB recorders. The $70 application (reduced by $30) includes AudioScribe, a direct-to-disk recording utility that lets you record vinyl, voice or tape to hard disk in AIFF format. Competitive and standard upgrades (from v4.5) are $30. A limited demo is expected to posted "shortly after" the Expo.
