Olympus America today announced Mac compatibility for most of its digital recorders, including the DS-2000, DS-3000, DS-320 and DS-150 recorders, which will use Olympus’ new free software, DSS Players for the Mac. It manages digital dictation by automating manual functions, such as auto-detection and USB auto-download of dictation from the recorder as well as conversion of Olympus DSS (digital speech standard) files to AIFF files; ability to drag and drop DSS files as email attachments; and direct recording.
