    Still no Que!

Great to see more OS X migration. I was foolishly hoping Roxio would somehow do what Apple & QPS refuse to do - make USB Que drives usable in OS X. This is so damn frustrating. Has anyone made any progress with QPS on this? I've written email and gotten the same response: it's Apple's fault.

    Thank you Roxio!

I just bought Toast Titanium 5 and I was hoping I wouldn't have to pay for the OS X upgrade :D

    Copy protection?

Will this update allow you to rip mp3's on one computer and then play them on another? I recall a while back that Roxio announced some partnership with a record company (EMI?), and there was speculation that the partnership would lead to Roxio implementing some form of copy protection. I'm just wondering whether or not this was done in the Toast 5.1 update.

    Screwed by QPS

No progress here, and it's basically the end of the line. Apple and QPS have washed their hands of it, despite QPS's new tune that the fault lies with Apple. The clincher is that the LaCie USB drive, which also uses a Mitsumi CR-4804TE, apparently will work with Disc Burner and Toast (but not the Finder). Come on, QPS, you can do better!

    Re: Copy Protection

I've been using Roxio's Toast Preview for OS X and have been burning CDs for close to a year and haven't had any problems. If anything, they make it easier to copy CDs now that the Copy CD function works under OS X.

Whoops, I meant to mention that I've been burning Audio CDs for close to a year without a problem. Both from MP3s ripped through iTunes and from AIFF files.

    Re: Copy Protection

I don't see how you could do that without switching to a different format(one that supports copy protection). I don't see that happening (how many of you would like to trade MP3 for MS's audio format?). It would be a serious downgrade, why would roxio do a lot of work so they lose sales?
