Extensis has announced Portfolio 6, a major upgrade to its Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution for sharing, organizing, retrieving and distributing digital files. Version 6 includes a a new Collect & Publish feature that automatically collects and catalogs files for CD distribution and lets users create a stand-alone browser application on-the-fly. Other features include FolderSync, a floating palette, the ability to create Web Pages, instant cataloging, batch renaming/keywording, email functions, EXIF support, and custom field support.It is due in February for $200; upgrades start at $70. Portfolio Server with 5 free clients is $2,500.
