Hitachi America, Ltd has introduced an 18 inch flat panel display incorporating the company's new S-IPS technolog, claims to deliver reductions in color shift and increased color accuracy. Hitachi says its new LCD can be viewed with distinction from viewing angles of 170 degrees, in both horizontal and vertical directions. The display is priced at $999, and includes a Mac-compatible analog connection.
