Ben Bird has released BTV Pro 5.3, an update to his $40 software for video capture, editing, and stop-motion animation. It also offers timelapse capture, motion detection, and DV video input and output and works with any Mac compatible video input source. Version 5.3 offers DV device control, the ability to directly capture a DV stream, improved DV output, automatic file backup, size-settings for frame captures, and a "smoother" playback option.
