This is a cool program, now if only there was an OS X native version. Even better if it Uses the BSD layer, which I am told is much more powerful and faster

    not only for broadband

It also offers significant improvements on slower connections such as ISDN and modems.

    OS X Networking

All networking on Mac OS X should be more robust because it is all built on the BSD "core" - even Open Transport.

Mac programmers do lose some low-level functions convenient on Mac OS 8/9, but the overall robustness should improve speed on Ethernet connections and even modems. This is because the OS is trully handling multiple tasks as cleanly and efficiently as possible on OS X with preemptive multitasking.

The multi-processing features of Mac OS X should also help a great deal as tasks are automatically routed to low-load processors by the OS itself.

    Freezes

It somehow does not work on my Firewire PowerBook 400Mhz, it freezes or shows error when I am trying to download something. Any one know how to solve it?

    Download Location

It doesn't look to use the download location from the Internet control panel.

Doesn't seem to allow selecting an alternate (like a ram disk or another volume).

That to me is so un-mac and inflexible. Does it NEED to be in the same folder as SD? Do I need to waste RAM disk space and put SD there?

    thumbs down. Nice setup assistant.

also a down on the url dialogue field. Can it intercept ftp's from IE etc?

    Downloads

I moved Downloads folder SD creates, initiated a download... and it downloaded into Trash!

Now that seems like poor behavior (not mine, I try to "break" software).
