Motorola files to sell $2 billion in stock

Motorola, Apple's supplier of PowerPC processors who said it would cut more than 9,400 jobs, has filed to sell up to $2 billion in debt securities, common and preferred stock and other securities. The company says it will sell the securities, as needed, to raise capital for general corporate expenses.
