iPod Software Updater adds support/features

Apple has released iPod Software Updater v1.0.3. iPod now supports additional languages-- including Brazilian/Portuguese, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish-- and 255-character filenames. MP3 sound quality has also been improved and two functions, update and restore, have been added to the iPod Updater. The update command downloads new software to an iPod and the restore command returns an iPod to a "factory fresh" condition.

    Does the iPod still limit track lengths to 20 minutes?

    No 20-min limit

    I don't believe it ever had a 20-minute limit. I just listened to a 25-minute track yesterday. IIRC, there were glitches with certain badly-encoded MP3s that would cause the iPod to get confused after about 20 minutes...

    Now if only it wouldn't pause between tracks and mess up the flow of my DJ-mixed CDs...

    The localization of iPod requires the translation of about five words (main menu + about box), so I guess it should be pretty easy :)
