eWeeK Labs' tests of OS X Server 10.1 showed the now-Unix-based Mac "finally makes a good server," according to an article that lauds the Mac-based GUI management tools: "We found that the Mac-based GUI management tools provided much easier administration than did the Unix-based versions of these tools."

    damn straight

    I've been using it as a server since the beta. the greatest thing in the world is being able to develop locally on apache. riding the northeast direct building web apps with apache running local. it rocks.

    Come on

    Be nice...a mainstream mostly NON MAC publication just gave us free advertising. They are starting to look at Apple in a new light, don't badmouth them.

    A laughing matter

    So I decided to defect this past spring and try Windows 2000 Server on a new PC. It culminated with about 30 startup errors (with just a base isntallation), and then my "speedy" processor went up in smoke. Then I bought a G4 to use as a server. I should have made the right choice from the beginning. :)
