updated 08:35 am EST, Fri December 14, 2001
As noted yesterday, Apple has posted iTunes 2.03, for both OS X and Mac OS 9, which "offers greater control when synchronizing iTunes with the iPod by transferring only the checked songs in your library and playlists to your iPod. This version also adds support for the Rio One MP3 player from SONICblue, a tool for for correcting improperly encoded Unicode tags, and improved stability and performance," according to one reader.

Dear Apple...
It is great to see good improvements to a great program like iTunes... but I have one gripe. I recently purchased a QueFire 24x10x40 Firewire CDRW drive. I hope the Authoring Support gets an update to support my drive. I have a 9600 with a Firewire card. I was able to get Disc Burner installed and working, but all I need now is a supported CD burner. If when the update for my drive comes out and it works.... I will be very happy camper cause it gives my old mac a bit more life. It does have a g3 500 in it and many upgrades.
This proves one thing also... my old mac may be far from the newest thing on the block... but it still earns it's keep right well. Photoshop and all the other latest Desktop Publishing apps and Multimedia and Video work is still easily capable on my old mac. I would buy new, but unemployment in the Boston area kept me from buying a new g4.... guess if those g5 rumors are true... I will benefit from waiting.
Anyways, off the soap box I go.
