    hmmm

same here, but i'd still upgrade. It may just recognize it as OS X version, but not any new, or debugged code.

    no surprise

AOL is much to busy putting their PC users two versions ahead to spend time actually fixing the outstanding bugs from the 9 version and the new built for Mac OS X bugs. None of the issues I reported were dealt with. None of the earlier bugs are resolved.

    Different version

Supposedly this final release is coded .20 as compared to the .19 in the last beta.

Don't know if the changes are just superficial or what.

The annoying thing is that the d/l occurs in charged area whereas all past betas were d/led in free area.

    Upgrade?

Hmmmn. Same prob for me earlier today. Assumed my beta just ended up being the final version. Wouldn't let me upgrade.

    beta upgrade instead

Go to the beta section and download from there to get it free. Actually, it should be free from any location, but you might have to close any active IM sessions.

    An easier way to upgrade

Instead of going through the whole rigamarole of trying to upgrade via AOL, follow these simple instructions:

    Point your Web browser to
Click "AOL Members click here to Upgrade"
Click "System requirements and full AOL client list"
Click "America Online for Mac OS X"

    Ta-da!

    Left out the URL....

In my last message, I forgot to put in the URL. Sorry! Point your browser to http://free.aol.com/tryaolfree/

Then follow the other three clicks....

    Alternatively...

...get rid of AOL and get yourself a *real* ISP.
