Updated iOS app still waiting

Developer SugarSync has launched v2.0 of its multi-platform online service. The technology lets users store, sync, and share files online, including things like photos, music, video, and work documents. The v2.0 overhaul is said to include easier navigation, including simpler setup via a drag-and-drop process. Another aid is the SugarSync Drive, which displays synced content in a Mac Finder or Windows Explorer window.

Among other improvements are new sharing features, such as public folder links and a Contacts tab, and the ability to perform searches for personal and shared data. Photo browsing includes new saving and viewing options, and the design of the service has been made more consistent across the web, desktop, and mobile apps. The only mobile app to have been updated so far, however, is the Android version. An overhauled iOS app is promised "soon."

SugarSync is available in Personal and Business versions. The Personal tiers start at $5 per month or $50 per year for 30GB, and run up to $25 per month or $250 per year for 250GB. The Business service has unlimited storage, but costs $55 a month or $550 per year.
