Electric Image has released Electric Universe 4, an update to the $1000 software animation package. Version 4 offers OS X compatibility (as a native Carbon appliation), new character skinning tools, new constraint and global illumination systems, an enhanced OpenGL engine, new modeler features, an improved drawing system, motion blur preview, and new icons in the animator. Upgrades from v3.1 are $350.
