Microsoft has posted Outlook 8.2.2 for Macintosh, a new version of the Mac client for its Exchange Server (not the freeware Outlook Express email client). It improves messaging and group scheduling, interoperability with Outlook 97, 98, and 2000, has an updated user interface and adds features such as drag & drop support, text magnification, and other enhancements. A new fact sheet provides more information on the next "Watson release" of the Exchange Server client. Although the the site provides no definitive time frame on its release, the forthcoming release will bring support for both native and off-line Outlook calendering, tasks and reminders.
