Medium, Numb3rs, other CBS shows in non-exclusive deal
CBS and Hulu revealed today a new multi-year agreement that will bring CBS' television content to the popular streaming service. CBS shows will now be available on Hulu Plus in a non-exclusive arrangement, but the broadcaster is said to be holding out on making its content available on the free version of Hulu.
Hollywood Reporter detailed the deal earlier today, noting that it will bring shows such as Medium, Numb3rs, CSI Miami, Star Trek, I Love Lucy, and The Twilight Zone to Hulu. CBS has previously been reluctant to supply Hulu with content, but the new deal will see more than 2,600 shows from its library available on the streaming site.
CBS content will become available on Hulu in January of next year. It will be the first time CBS content has been available online outside of the network's own site. Today's announcement did not carry any information on financial aspects of the deal.

This would be news if CBS' announcement mentioned any of the current season's shows. Instead it lists everything you can already stream on Netflix … without Hulu Plus' commercials. So really, not much of an announcement at all -- unless this deal eventually leads to online access to newer CBS content.
