Over 21,000 people attended last week's MacExpo 2001, which took place in London over the past few days. Macworld UK notes the release of an OS X-compatible drawing application, DrawWell; new products for UK users from AM Micro, including the iRez KritterDigital FireWire camera, Digicom's modem for GSM networks, and Keyspan's USB 2.0 Cardbus solution; and SmartDisk's FireFly drive, a credit-card sized drive that uses the same 5GB drive found in Apple's iPod.

Great News.
Sadly I couldn't make the show but it's great that so many did. Hopefully it will indicate to UK companies that the Mac market here is alive and well. Those who know me will know that I regularly chide Apple UK for their lack of effort and general uselessness in many areas, however on this occasion I think that they have to be given their due for attending the show. Meanwhile they have also recently been running regular ads in some great TV slots for the iBook and have also been advertising in the Independent. Sunday's edition had a DPS for the iBook and iPod. It was a very inspiring ad and I can't imigine it failing to get results. the Indy's Christmas Shopping recommendations also included iPod for teenagers......The best I got was a walkman the size of a house.......
