Eric Garneaux notes that Dantz has updated its Website on the status of Retrospect for OS X:

"While Mac OS X v10.1.1 does include most of the device access and arbitration functionality that Retrospect requires, and it fixes issues surrounding hard linked files, it does not solve several remaining issues that prevent Retrospect from successfully backing up or restoring a complete Mac OS X system to a functioning state.

"Apple is well aware of the file manager and device issues that are still giving Retrospect problems; their OS engineers have been working closely with Dantz and are resolving these issues right now (fixing hard links is a great example)."
