Although that's nice and dandy that Intuit and Microsoft are coming out with new accounting/small business packages; but how much do you want to bet that the Mac will be left far behind, like Quickbooks for Mac?

    Agreed

Who cares about Hercules if there's no Mac version? In the meantime I am using MYOB AccountEdge... and it's okay. No QuickBook by any means, but at least it's updated and functional.

Kinda sad that there is so little choice of small business accounting packages on our platform.

    Hercules?

"Intuit plans to release a new small business accounting package code-named Hercules some time next year"

What does this have to do with the Mac? The only Intuit small business accounting package we have is the 5 year old Quickbooks 4.0. Here I was getting excited thinking that there would actually be a good small business managment program for the Mac and instead I'm shown a link to a high-end ($5000?) PC business management program? Bah.

    Intuit and MYOB

Perhaps this is related to Intuit's recent purchase of MYOB Canada. I don't know if/how this affects MYOB's U.S. operations, though. I just ordered Accountedge 2 and look forward to using it under OS X.

    Attention to piracy?

Maybe they should have been focusing on the anthrax mailings and other potential terrorist threats instead of working soooo harrrd to bust software pirates. And maybe the Customs Dept., which was in on this sting, should have been fidning out why people on the terrorist watch list got into the country.
