Aladdin has released StuffIt 6.5.1, a free update for v6.5 owners to its access and compression utility for Macintosh. StuffIt Deluxe 6.5.1 adds Contextual Menu support Magic Menu in OS X, smart expansion of Palm OS files, DropTar (a drop box compression utility for Unix), and StuffIt Express Personal Edition, which allows users to create customized drop box applications that can be configured to automate their file compression and transfer tasks as well as bug fixes.     Contextual Menu support Magic Menu in OS X,

    Interesting. I'm wondering if this is a hack, or a undocumented feature of OS X. Maybe Apple will disclose new API for this in the nearby future.

    Fix the MenuExtra

    I'm glad to have context menu support, but they need to fix the stupid magic menu in the menubar... its some sort of hacked menu extra and doesn't work like other MenuExtra apps (clock.menu, sound.menu, etc). They need to fix this cause its really annoying.

    Non-multitasking menus..

    Grrr. For goodness sake, spawn a new process when the contextual menu is used to stuff or expand a file. Why are you busy-waiting the Finder on a multitasking system?
