ATTO unveils new Ultra320 SCSI PCI Card

ATTO today announced a dual-channel host adapter utilizing the latest Ultra320 SCSI technology and new SAN Management Software.

The ATTO ExpressPCI UL4D SCSI PCI card offers up to 320 MB/sec. per channel for a combined speed of up to 640 MB/sec. The UL4Dwill incorporate PCI-X 64-bit, 133 MHz functionality, which supports applications such as high definition video by delivering data at speeds of 1-Gig./sec. It is backward compatible with earlier SCSI versions. [pricing and ship date not available]

ATTO AccelWare, a volume-level SAN-management software package offers the ability to create and access RAID volumes across both Windows and Mac platforms. The enhanced AccelWare Mac 3.1 include new product features, enhanced administrative functionality and maintenance updates, as well as the newly initiated ATTO Upgrade and Distribution policy (no details available). It offers the ability create and manage striped RAID volumes, Fibre Channel Technology 100 MB/sec., supports 2 Terabytes per volume, share volumes across SANs, multiple Access Level Security, and system-wide messaging.
