FileMaker today announced that it has shipped 40,000 units of its FileMaker Developer software for creating custom database solutions. FileMaker Developer 5.5 allows developers to create FileMaker solutions for the Web, across workgroups or as run-time applications. It includes a new Database Design Report generator for documenting the structure of solutions; a new Script Debugger for the systematic testing of scripts within a FileMaker solution; and a new Developer Tool for creating stand-alone and Kiosk-mode solutions.
