Kingston on November 1st will launch a new memory promotion for G4 Power Mac owners, offering a 'free' 256MB memory module for the Apple Macintosh G4 (part number: KTA-G4133/256) with the purchase of 256MB memory module through its online website

They're still not cheap
Kingston's model for my dual-500 G4:
KTA-G4133/256 256MB Module $83.00
Memory from memoryx.net for the same machine:
256mb PowerMac G3, G4 PC133-222 $33.00
Even with a 2-for-1 rebate, Kingston's still expensive. Memory-X (I don't work for them, but I buy their chips for all the Macs I work with.) even certifies their chips for Apple's firmware specs.
I'm sure there're other vendors cheaper, too.
