Robert Miller writes about the use of Macs in Queen's 'Night at the Opera' album: "It is being remixed in 5.1 Surround Sound for DTS with Steinberg's Nuendo and a Mac G4 733 at Abbey Road Studios."

    But Microsoft...

has Sting Singing at the XP release Party.....
anyone ever notice that XP is an emoticon for a drunk guy with his tongue sticking out, maybe that is the real "experience" Wonder if the Marketing Geniuses at MS noticed that :)

Anyway, it is awesome to see the Music Industry using Macs, I love that iPod's introduction had video commentary from Smashmouth, Moby, and Seal and that they use music from the Propellerheads. But Microsoft has Sting Singing... well, Sting is at a concert in NY and Microsoft is broadcasting it on MSN.

But Just think about the Drunk Guy, you'll see it every time you look at the letters XP

    Now *that's* credibility

We got Moby, they got Sting.

I think there's a positive message out there for all Mac users...

Sting would sell his soul for a bottle of Newcastle Brown ale.

    Moby

    Cant sing

Saw some live show of his, the music was great, the backup singers were great. But he insisted on singing over everything, and he was completely terrible.. shame really, if he had just mimed his CD it would have been fine!

Sting may be a sellout to M$, but he has talent

    Moby is not a singer

He might sing here and there, but Moby is a master of mixing music more of a DJ

    Wait a second.

After looking at it further the XP looks like the Mr Yuck face, which makes it even Funnier.

    Sting is merely a honey-

    bee without the Police. :P

The only Sting I listen to *is* from the Police era, as Sting solo, well, to be frank, kinda stinks.

    Sting:

Sting: Elevator music without the Police, or without Branford Marsalies. His music is more boring than watching auto racing on TV.

Not that I think much of Apple's choices, but at least they have some visceral and emotional appeal.

    moby 2...

and his music is terrific. completely different from the rest of the radio-fodder around these days.

why is it that apple attracts musicians who are pushing the boundaries of their respective genres?
    (rhetorical question)

    Queen

Are they re-releasing the Night at the Opera album again? I already replaced my vinyl version with the re-mixed CD when it came out. Are the record companies tired of waiting for a new format to replace CD to make consumers re-buy all their albums again so they just re-re-release existing ones to get more money out of us?
