Sony has announced its new CLIE PEG-T415 handheld, a Palm OS-based PDA that includes universal remote control capabilities. The company also announced an optional Memory Stick camera module that allows users to shoot and view digital photos. The new CLIE handheld will retail for about $300, and the PEGA-MSC1 camera module for around $150. Both devices are expected to be available in November.

Just wondering why MacNN would post news about a PDA that requires Windows to connect to a computer. Based on system requirements posted on Sony's web site, CLIE is not compatible with Macs.
Actually, the Clie is Mac compatible, just not officially so. My understanding is that it is USB and will work natively with Palm Desktop. There is also a company called MarkSpace which makes a software package for using the Clie with the Mac and using the memory stick, etc.

Cool idea, but only 320x240 resolution for pictures taken with the camera module? What is that supposed to be useful for?
The new clie looks pretty cool (check out palminfocenter.com for pictures of it if Sony's site still isn't updated) although I'm still holding out on any new PDA's until i hear of a good wireless option.
