Charles Haddad says that "Mac heads shouldn't get too upset when they see how closely Windows XP apes Apple's OS X. In the long run, imitation can only help Jobs & Co."

I am NOT a "Mac head"! I am a "MacIST". ;)
hey, how about being a Mac-keral, or Mac(h)-kernel, or Mac-ker,
haddad should shutup before we put the Mac down on his candy @$$
People will just say it looks enough like OS X not to have to switch platforms or go with a more common platform.
Sitting two hours on hold with your new PC in hand waiting to speak to someone who will license your copy of XP for you, you will ask is this worth it? Is it a technical glitch? Don't they trust us? Not only will this happen when you purchase a machine with XP preinstalled, it will happen when you upgrade to XP when software you want is only available for XP. This will happen when you change six hardware componants, or want to install XP on a machine that doesn't yet have it. Suddenly, you say it isn't worth it. You trash the computer, and ask do I have any options? This is where Apple has to come in and strike hard. Make an advertisement showing the Apple Logo with the statement underneath: "License Activation NOT required." If Apple can capitalize on Microsoft's mistake here, it stands a chance to gain many customers.
So when you say, "None of Haddad's past articles on Apple have been neither well written nor informed," do you mean to say, "Haddad's past articles on Apple have been well written and informed?"
If not, perhaps you need to revisit your junior-high English syllabus for proper writing and grammar so you can properly get your thoughts across.
Quit linking to this idiot.
Sorry for the grammatics, but if you kept up with some of the stuff Haddad posted before, as a Mac user, you should be upset that he's still spewing out this junk.
the subject heading was meant to say "hey, I wasn't insutling U" but it got cut off
I wasn't insulted.
Nor was I offended by Haddad's article referenced here (to say nothing of any previous articles of his). Haddad speaks the truth in this article when it comes to the general public's perception. His assessment seems to be pretty accurate to me. As a Mac user since 1986 and one who never plans on switching, I too find it frustrating that Windows lemmings feel that they are benefiting from PeeCee innovations which truly come from Apple. But he is also correct in saying that for those of us that are awake and aware, we will always know where the innovation comes from and be loyal to that brand.
