    1ST POST!!! OOOH YEAH!!!

Do you think that the upgrade market for Macs can last. Apple has scuttled upgrades in the latest iterations of the iMac, iBook, and PowerBook. Just one more product to go before they freeze upgrades out completely.

    Orphan tech?

Maybe we should call this company "Orphan Technology." At least users of Newer might get a little tech support before inventory (and time) runs out.

    Silly rabbit

"Just one more product to go"?? Please purchase one clue. The G4 is expressly designed to be upgraded and comes with a ZIF socket. That's part of what people expect from a pro desktop system, and it would be absurd for Apple to get rid of that. The iMac/PB/iB were never designed to be upgraded due to size and/or cost constraints. People have hacked around that and offered upgrades, but they tend to only work on one revision of the hardware. That's hardly "scuttling".
