NYTimes for iPad 2.7 (free) - NYTimes for iPad provides users with access to all of the news stories posted by the New York Times. Version 2.7 now allows readers without a subscription to access seven days of unlimited content at no cost. After this trial ends, readers can then read three free articles each day from any section. Tweetbot for Twitter 2.8.2 ($3) - Tweetbot is a Twitter client that includes multiple timelines, smart gestures, and support for a number of other social services such as Instapaper and CloudApp. Timeline position, direct message read statuses and mute filters are also synced automatically between the iPhone and iPad via iCloud. Support for Instagram video has been added in this release, along with fixes for various bugs. [Download - 11.8MB]

Major Magnet 1.2 ($1) - Major Magnet is a fast-paced game where players take control of a magnet powered hero. Players must progress through each level by tapping on various magnets, helping Major Magnet to swing by all the obstacles. A bug related to boss battles has been resolved with this update. 500px 2.1.4 (free) - 500px is a photo sharing platform that lets users upload photos and browse through numerous community selected galleries. Support is also included for liking photos and leaving comments, as well as adding images to a favorites list for quick access. The v2.1.4 update fixes an issue that caused the app to crash when opening a profile on the iPhone. [Download - 17.7MB]

Cards 2.0.3 (free) - Cards is Apple's own iOS app that lets users design greeting cards from their iOS device and have them sent as physical cards around the world. Minor improvements to the in-app messaging client are included in this update. [Download - 96.5MB]
