AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix, iStopMotion for iPad, Times Square

AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix 1.0 ($15) - This version of AmpliTube offers models of Hendrix's equipment, allowing users to replicate many of his classic tones. Two historically accurate amp models based on the Marshall JTM 45 and Fender Dual Showman are featured, along with five different effects. The app also includes a single-track recorder that can be expanded with additional functionality through an in-app purchase. [Download - 93.6MB]

iStopMotion for iPad 2.0.1 ($5) - iStopMotion for iPad is a tool for creating stop motion animations directly on the iPad. A major problem affecting video playback has been resolved in this release, and audio stored in a clip can now be recorded in stereo quality. A number of minor improvements and other bug fixes are also included. [Download - 42MB]

New Year’s Eve Ball App 2.0.13 (free) - The official Times Square app allows users to view information on the historic New Years event, including news, weather, photos, and an event schedule. The latest release has been updated for the 2013 countdown and now includes an authentic rendering of One Times Square. Other new additions includes animated lighting and effects, an animated ball drop, and an option for changing the time zone. [Download - 13MB]

Hipstamatic 2.61 ($1) - Hipstamatic is a mobile photography application that looks to replicate the look and feel of plastic toy cameras. A new Tintype SnapPak for creating portraits has been added in this release, along with various bug fixes and stability improvements. Support has also been added for the full camera resolution of the new iPod touch, iPad, and iPad mini. [Download - 33MB]

Fantastical 1.0.2 ($4) - Fanastical is a calendar utility that allows users to create events by explaining events in basic English. For example, a user can enter "Lunch with John at 123 Main Street on Tuesday," and the software will add all of the relevant information to a new event. In v1.0.2, the availability setting for all-day events defaults to free. A problem where the current date would display incorrectly has also been fixed, along with several crashing issues.
