Two studies from Custora and Adobe have confirmed that Apple's iOS platform again dominated US mobile e-commerce sales from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday, although the total percentage was down slightly from last year. Black Friday sales from mobile devices accounted for a total of nearly 40 percent this year, jumping to 39.3 percent, up five percent. As mentioned previously, I'm on the road a lot. This is ironic, since I live (well, mostly) in one of the beautiful places on earth: British Columbia. However, a combination of job things and personal interests means I spend more time in airplanes looking at mountains than I do actually on mountains, and even if a fair amount of it didn't require me to carry tech stuff with me, I'd still carry a bag of tech stuff with me. Here's my road warrior kit.

Is this a worldwide problem yet? In the UK, we get spam emails just like everyone else outside Nigeria and we also know that if our landline phone rings then it will be about insurance or an industrial accident they hope we had within the last three years. Now we're getting spammed by text too and at last this is something we can deal with on our iPhones.

The lack of support for Apple Pay by Australian banks has forced regulatory bodies to examine the reasons behind the slowness. Sony is planning to bring PlayStation 4 gaming to the Mac, by producing an app that uses the Remote Playfunction. It's not that we think you're wrong, it's more that it's so rarely useful for us that we're curious about use cases. Especially now that we know how to do it. One of the interesting things about the trajectory of iOS development over the past couple of years is how Apple has continued to extend its capabilities, bringing it continually closer in functionality to OS X. Although not quite there yet, it seems quite plausible that the next iteration of iOS could make a device like the iPad Pro a true notebook killer. Given that for a great many people, the iPad Pro is more than powerful enough to meet their personal computing needs, should Apple take this one step further, and drop an ARM-based, iOS desktop on the market?
