Confirming widely-held beliefs that the iPhone 5s is outselling the iPhone 5c -- but upending the conventional wisdom that the iPhone 5c isn't doing as well as the iPhone 5 did a year ago -- the latest numbers from mobile analytics company MixPanel show a healthy and growing market for both models, though the iPhone 5s is the more popular -- and, roughly three months after introduction, now accounts for 10 percent of all iPhones.

Apple has again launched its "12 Days of Gifts" app to celebrate the 12 days of Christmas, but this year it is including the US for the first time. The app, which celebrates the period between Christmas and the traditional date of the baptism of Christ, will make available to iOS users a free download (an app, movie rental, e-book or song) each day beginning December 26 and running to the 6th of January. It was previously called "12 Days of Christmas," but has seen a name change this year.
Potentially dispelling the rumors and false starts, China Mobile is taking preorders for iPhones on Thursday in Shanghai, according to an advertisement that briefly appeared on its website and a call placed to customer service. Using the slogan "4G is here!" the ad not only announced the opening of iPhone sales, but also suggests phones from other vendors such as Sony, Samsung, and HTC, that all support the new 4G network that the carrier has been building out for the last two years.
The iTunes Match service, a yearly-subscription service from Apple that allows users to store and stream more than 25,000 songs from their own library (regardless of original source) has arrived in four new Nordic countries. Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden now have access to the service, which costs 249 Krona (between $38-45 US depending on the country) or €25 ($34.40) in Finland. All four countries also gain iTunes in the Cloud, which allows re-downloading of any iTunes Store purchases.

He has reportedly also become more active in philanthropy, donating to causes that support education and human rights as well as the fight against poverty. Following a fire severely damaging YouTube user Ghostlyrich's Samsung Galaxy S4, the Korean manufacturer wanted proof that the device was damaged in the manner that the user reported, prior to any replacement or repair offer being made. Ghostlyrich uploaded a video showing the damage, with a melted case and visibly damaged internal hardware. In a settlement offer mailed to the user, Samsung demanded the video be removed before it would send out a replacement, with other extreme terms.

Time Warner Cable CEO Rob Marcus has fueled speculation that the company is preparing to bring its TWC TV app to the Apple TV platform.
