I was sent an iPhone silicone case recently by the fine folks over at USB Fever, and so far, I can say that it’s OK. One of the best aspects of the case is the ease with which you can access just about everything on the iPhone. Some of the cases I’ve looked at gave me trouble trying to type and due to their bulky size, I couldn’t always press the mechanical buttons along the edges of the device. Luckily, the silicone case fixes that for us — and then some.
Part of my problem with the silicone case revolves around its lack of adequate protection. Sure, it’s better than nothing, but as you can probably guess, it just doesn’t do the job that other, yet larger cases can do. I tried dropping my iPhone a few times with the case on it, and to be entirely honest, it didn’t make me want to do it ever again. There was very little damage to be seen however, but being cautious, I only dropped it on a carpet.
It’s nice that the company decided to create a host of colors including, blue, black, green, pink and white and it fits snugly around the iPhone. That said, I just can’t justify spending $9.99 on this device until it gets a bit more reliable. If it were priced around $4.99, then I would tell you to get it immediately. Until then, hold off.

It seems like a pretty decent case, but by the looks, it fails to protect the screen (unless it comes with some screen protector not visible in the provided artwork).
If you are looking for a silicone case, however, look to the iSkin’s Revo. It’s pricey, around $49 bucks, but it provides 360-degree protection, and also comes with a touch-capable film screen protector and a clear plastic snap-on screen protector, for when you have the iPhone in your pocket or some such.
But, again, the Revo is almost 50 bucks.
For ten bucks though, it seems you get what you pay for in this particular case.
