MagicTile Marathon gets 1GHz Tegra 2, Android 2.2

Indian outfit Everything At Finger Tips (or EAFT) has released the Magictile Marathon tablet to add to the number of Android-powered devices outs there. The 10.1-inch device has a 1024x600 resolution and is powered by a 1GHz Tegra 2 CPU paired with 512MB of RAM. Android 2.2 is onboard despite its age.

Otherwise, there is a 3G connection, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 1080p video can be played back through the HDMI output. Battery life is said to be eight hours. A 1.3-megapixel camera is built into the back of the unit. There doesn't seem to be any built-in storage available to users, as only a 16GB microSD memory card is included. A a USB port and dock connector are present.

The device is priced at Rs. 26,999 (around $607) for those who pre-order and Rs. 29,990 ($675) for those who don't.
