MEDL releases art instructional app

Other World Computing has announced that it is expanding the Mercury Elite-AL Pro Qx2 desktop RAID storage line capacity to 12TB. The Qx2 features a quad interface of FireWire 800, FireWire 400, USB 2.0, and eSATA ports, as well as four selectable hardware RAID settings. Customers can choose between four prosumer and three enterprise models starting at $480. Prosumer options include 2TB, 4TB, 8TB, and 12TB for $480, $580, $930, and $1400, respectively. On the other hand, enterprise models with a 5-year warranty are available in 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB options for $730, $900, and $1720.

Educational sketching application comes to the App Store

A new sketching application for the iPad has been released by MEDL Mobile. Learn to Draw Digital Sketchook features a number of instructional lessons created by Walter Foster, along with several tools for creating art pieces directly on the device. Included in the app are four free step-by-step lessons, while additional guides can be purchased within the app. Every lesson includes text and voice instruction, as well as realistic drawing tools that are adjustable in size, pressure, and hardness. The app will remain a free download in the App Store until 10,000 copies are sold, after which the price will rise to $3.
