MoMA launches exhibition companion
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit has been launched in the App Store by EA Mobile. Players are able to take on the role of a cop through a full career mode spanning 24 events. Players begin as a rookie, but can move up through the ranks and unlock more powerful cars by collecting bounties. While racing, extreme maneuvers, such as nitro boosts and drifting, will reward players with bounty points. The game also features a local multiplayer mode via WiFi or Bluetooth, where players take on the roles of both cops and racers. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is available at a cost of $5.
Museum of Modern Art launches companion app for Abstract Expressionist exhibit
The Museum of Modern Art has released a new application in conjunction with the Abstract Expressionist exhibit. The free application is an informative resource that ca be used before or after a visit to the exhibition, or as a stand-alone guide to the exhibit. Users can browse through the 60 included works of art by artists, chronologically, or as a visual mosaic. An interactive map of New York City and Long Island that uses text, audio, and archival images to explore where the Abstract Expressionist artists lived and worked is also included.
