iWave intros new line of eco-friendly accessories

Grass Roots Collection of iPhone cases, earbuds

In addition to its recently announced Crystal Clear Collection, iWave has also introduced the new eco-friendly Grass Roots Collection. The series of iPhone and iPod accessories is claimed to be environmentally friendly, constructed with recyclable materials such as plastic, wood and bamboo. The new products include headphones, earphones and cases, with each designed around a rustic wood-grain theme geared for nature enthusiasts.

The eco-friendly series is expected to be released in the second quarter of 2010, with prices varying from $10 to $30 for the iPhone/iPod cases and earbuds, or $15 to $40 for the headphones.

"claimed to be environmentally friendly, constructed with recyclable materials such as plastic, wood and bamboo"

Bamboo is environmentally friendly, but it and wood are hardly "recyclable."

Um, cutting down trees to make cases for phones isn't eco-friendly, neither is petro-plastic.

There are 100% bamboo hand made hard cases out there, and they are better looking than this greenwashed c***.

Soy & other plant based plastics are not only non-toxic, but they are usually sturdier & last longer too. I'd like to see a compressed reclaimed post-consumer paper+soy resin case.
