Safari 3.2.1 update claims stability improvements

Safari 3 2 1 update

Apple has already released an update to its browser software, Safari 3.2.1. The latest version is claimed to offer stability improvements. Although the 3.2 update last week offered enhanced security through phishing protection and additional validation, many users have reported frequent crashes and other errors. It is unknown if the problems were related to the new WebKit engine and security changes, or if third-party plug-ins such as PithHelmet were to blame.

Safari 3.2.1 is available through the Apple Software Update. The company has not provided specific details regarding the stability improvements.

I got your answer. Its third party plugins like Pith Helmet and Safari Stand.

How can PithHelmet be creating frequent crashes if Safari 3.2 won't even start up unless PH is removed?

I had no probs with Safari prior to this update. Must be the third party stuff.

I'm running Leopard Server 10.5.5 and after the last update i was forced to use Firefox because Safari wouldn't stop crashing, NO 3rd party stuff.

I'm typing this on Safari 3.2 now. In fact, I haven't had any crashes on it, despite having visited several hundred sites since I downloaded it (aside from having to remove PithHelmet to get it to run at all). Plus at least 12 tabs open all the time. You screwed something up on your system.

Absolutely baloney, no crashes so far with 3.2 here either. A flawless experience! you guys should stop installing c*** on your computers...3rd party c*** included, even if Inquisitor and AdBlock work perfectly under 3.2.

The installer crashed my 'puter, leading to a hard shutdown. Ouch!
