Abaltat Express update
Abaltat has released the latest version of its soundtrack creation tool, Abaltat Express 2.0. This version includes a new composition and analysis engine from Muse 2.0, seven stylized bands, and a fresh user interface with dials and prompts. Soundtracks are created using the Mac's audio engine and edited with tools contained in the program. The composition can then be exported to other applications including Apple Logic, Garage Band, and ProTools.
Video recognition capabilities track the color and duration of each clip, allowing musical algorithms and user defined rules to match audio with each scene. Further manual editing can be applied with keyboard commands or key framing concepts. Video is imported as a QuickTime file, with the finished products being exported as .AIFF, .WAV, MIDI, or QuickTime files. Abaltat Express 2.0 is available for $230, and any work produced with the software is royalty-free.
