Lenovo Vibe Z2, Vibe X2 have high-resolution front cameras

Lenovo has extended its Vibe smartphone line with two new Android devices at the company's IFA media event today. The Vibe X2 has a unique multi-layered case design and packs a MediaTek True8Core processor, while the Vibe Z2 is the company's first 64-bit smartphone with a thin 7.8mm (0.3 inches) brushed metal unibody case.

Using a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, the Vibe Z2 has 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 5.5-inch 720p display with 600 nits of brightness. The LTE device also includes a rear 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization and an LED flash, while on the front is an 8-megapixel fixed-focus version. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 3,000mAh battery are also included.

The colorful Vibe X2 opts for a five-inch 1080p display to go with its 2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB storage capacity. The rear 13-megapixel camera has been paired with a smaller 5-megapixel front version, and though it also connects over LTE with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 support, it has a smaller 2,300mAh battery. The X2 also benefits from add-on covers, with one extending the battery by 75 percent, while the other is a speaker with microphone which also doubles as a stand.
