DJ Player updated, adds MIDI revamp, new effects

Deejaying software DJ Player has released an update for its iOS app, adding new MIDI and effects features. The professional-level app can be used as a standalone program or in combination with touchscreen devices, external mixers, MIDI controllers, sound cards and vinyl (DVS). Users can manually beat match, sync tempo and beats with the entire spectrum of classic tools available. DJ Player v7.5 includes revamped effects and MIDI support, with 11 effect types available in three places per deck. Users can create effect combinations, with 12 simultaneous effects can be utilized if 4 decks are being used, possible with its Superpowered Audio Engine.

In respects to the MIDI revamp, every continuously adjustable feature can now be controlled by a continuous fader, a knob, a touch strip, an endless encoder or a pair of +/- buttons. LED feedback can be adjusted, new full support for 14-bit faders and knobs can be learned. New customizable factory maps include better integration, particularly for Serato controllers. DJ Player's dominant master deck's actual bpm can be transmitted to apps on the iOS device, connected USB MIDI devices or network MIDI. The network MIDI clock sync is not stable on the average home WiFi network. DJ Player is free to download through iTunes, and can be upgraded with a variety of additional features via in-app purchases.
