Moto X+1 allegedly resurfaces in leaked images, Verizon branding

updated 06:58 am EDT, Fri August 22, 2014

Few changes made to design of Moto X successor

Motorola's upcoming successor to the Moto X has apparently leaked again in new images. The media photographs of what is believed to be the Moto X+1 show both sides of the smartphone's black and white models, and while one has a generic black back cover, the other is shown using a wood-effect version, complete with a prominent Motorola logo.

The "retirement gift" from @evleaks on Twitter depicts a smartphone that has received little in the way of changes from the original. The more notable changes include dual front-facing speakers above and below the display, a slightly larger section on the back for the camera, and a marginally wider appearance. Verizon's logo is also visible on the rear, hinting that it will be one of the carriers launching the device.

Expected to be unveiled at an event on September 4th alongside other devices, the Moto X+1 is rumored to have a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.26GHz, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
