Best Buy leaks specifications list for Moto 360, confirms $249 price

updated 05:44 am EDT, Mon August 18, 2014

Texas Instruments processor claimed to power Moto 360

More details for the Moto 360 have surfaced, ahead of its expected launch early next month alongside two smartphones. A product listing for the Android Wear smartwatch appeared on the Best Buy website before being pulled from view, and provided not only a full list of specifications for the wearable device, but also confirmed that it will launch at $249.

The listing, spotted by Phone Arena, notes it will have a round 1.5-inch backlit LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 320x290, powered by a Texas Instruments processor with 512MB of storage, but an unknown amount of RAM. Water resistant for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 3.3 feet, the watch also includes a heart rate monitor and a pedometer for fitness tracking. Housed in a steel casing with a leather strap, the Moto 360 has a plastic backing, is 0.4 inches thick, and weighs 2.1 ounces, with the device said to be compatible with Android 4.3-or-later devices connecting over Bluetooth 4.0. There is no mention of its battery life and potential wireless charging capabilities.

It is still a possibility that the details provided are incorrect, though the fact it comes from Best Buy certainly increases the chances that they are true.
