Miniature Polaroid action cam measures 1.4-inches cubed, records 1080p video
A miniature Polaroid-branded life-logging action camera is now available for preorder globally. The Polaroid Cube, first shown at CES in January under the C3 name, measures just 35mm (1.4 inches) in each direction but has a shockproof, water-resistant rubber casing with a built-in magnet for quickly attaching it to metal surfaces.
Using a 6-megapixel sensor behind a 124-degree wide-angle lens, the Polaroid Cube is able to record 1080p video for up to 90 minutes, reports Pocket-Lint. Charging over USB, the camera stores footage and images on a microSD card, supporting cards up to 32GB in capacity, and while it does include the mounting magnet, there are also tripod and bike mounts, as well as a waterproof case and suction mount for using it at depths deeper than 2 meters (6.5 feet).
Photojojo is selling the Polaroid Cube for $100, shipping on September 20th. The tripod and bike mounts cost $10 and $15 respectively, while the waterproof housing is priced at $40, shipping at the same time as the camera.
