Square register service adds appointment booking feature

Square has announced today that the register service has added an appointments feature. Square Appointments aims to manage users' appointments, and is available to all business owners -- even those who do not use Square Register -- for a free 30-day trial. Users of Appointments can request to create a booking through a web form that automatically adds itself to the shop's calendar. Pricing for the service is $30 per month for individual sellers, $50 for business owners with two to five employees, and $90 for unlimited staff usage.

Dropbox for Android update adds document previews, improved search

Dropbox today has released an update for its Android app. Adding support for document previews, users can view, scroll, and zoom in on any documents without needing to leave Dropbox. Search improvements includes the new ability to navigate through specific folders or throughout one's entire Dropbox. Recent searches are retained, and suggestions are offered as new searches are being typed. Other features within v2.4.3 of Dropbox include cache performance enhancements and bug fixes. Free to download, Dropbox for Android is available through Google Play.
