Asus tablet sporting 64-bit Intel Moorfield processor surfaces at FCC

FCC listing provides specifications for unannounced Asus tablet

An unannounced Asus tablet powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom processor is on the way, according to a filing at the FCC. The listing for the tablet, under the model number K007, also unusually provides a partial list of components used in the device, with the filing indicating the Intel Moorefield chip will be a quad-core version clocked at 1.8GHz.

The specifications list from PhoneArena suggests the device will be relatively similar to the three tablets the company launched in June. Aside from the main processor, it is said to have a seven-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1200x1920. Offering options for 16GB or 32GB of storage, the K007 is also shown as having a rear 5-megapixel camera with a lower-resolution front version, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS support. Battery power is oddly listed as 15Ah, though this is likely to be a misprint and could in fact be 15Wh.

It is possible more details about the tablet will surface before or during IFA in September.
