Could be ready in time for fall product launches
Even though Turkey's first-ever Apple Store opened in Istanbul's Zorlu Center just this April, a second Istanbul outlet is already in the works, according to a local report. The shop will be based in the Akasya Shopping Center. Photos show that the Apple logo and glass facade are already in place, and that construction workers are already installing tables.
That could mean that the store will open in time for this fall's product launches, including new iPhones, iPads, and the iWatch. Apple likes to schedule openings that way when possible, but won't necessarily go out of its way to accelerate construction. The Akasya location is simply far enough into development that it may only need a month or two.
