updated 10:48 pm EDT, Fri August 1, 2014

Updated iDraw released, includes Swift code export, plugin support

Indeeo has announced the release of iDraw v2.4.1, adding two new features. The illustration application now includes a new Swift code export option, with app design mockups, buttons and icons capable of being turned directly into drawing code. The app has also gained the ability to export vector objects and effects directly into Core Graphics drawing code. Buttons can be drawn with code, and modified dynamically at runtime. Users can choose between exporting graphics code in Objective-C or Swift.

The new iDraw allows users to extend iDraw's existing feature set and automate editing operations, using custom plug-ins. The plugins are written in JavaScript, and can access OS X's Cocoa APIs. Other new features with v2.4.1's release includes SVG and PDF file import improvements, fixes for using the Eyedropper tool on multi-screen arrangements, as well as editing the EXIF orientation of imported images, and more. Priced at $25, iDraw for OS X can be downloaded through the App Store.

Slingshot plugin now available for Adobe Lightroom on OS X

Brushed Pixel Software has announced the release of its Slingshot plugin for Adobe Lightroom on OS X. Allowing users to send items from their library to other applications, Slingshot displays a customizable list of applications upon activation that removes the need to manually find and open the file in the OS X Finder. An application can be chosen to open their library item and directly launch the application. Priced at $9, Slingshot can be downloaded online through Brushed Pixel.

Please note that when I went to the Mac Appstore to get iDraw, the price was $24.99 rather than $2 as you wrote in your article. Quite a difference....
