Four title available at program launch for free play of subscribers
Electronic Arts has rolled out a new subscription service for some of its games for Xbox One owners. For either a $5 monthly or $30 annual fee, gamers on Microsoft's new console will soon be able to sign up for EA Access, allowing them to play FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, Peggle 2, and Battlefield 4, in addition to saving 10 percent on purchases of all EA digital content through the Xbox Games Store.
Additional benefits of the program include trials of new EA games up to five days before the release date, with the program starting with demos of Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA LIVE 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Users that buy the demoed title will be able to continue progress from the demo, a feature not generally available.
The program is in beta for a limited number of players right now. Full access to all Xbox One owners is expected soon. EA plans on adding more titles to the program as it develops.
